Summertime Parade Opportunities

Has your unit made a commitment towards marching in your community parade?  Most communities have some opportunity for Scout units to march in a parade.  Some units will serve as honor guards.  Some units follow the parade and clean up trash along the route.  Some units march and hand out candy and other Scout related materials.  Some unit produce floats depicting some Scouting activities.  What will your unit do to support Scouting in your community?

If your unit does not have any plans as of yet, please consider marching in the Woodbury Days Parade on August 25th at 11:00 am.  Pack 9060 has a slot in the parade and will accept any Scout in Class A uniform, who can bring a bucket of candy and a parent or registered adult along, as a member of the marching group.  The parade is approximately  one mile and begins at Woodbury High School Parking Lot.  Line up begins at 10:00 am.  Don't miss this opportunity to support Scouting in your communities.

Participation in summer activities may qualify your Pack for the Summertime Pack Award.
